Who says there's never any good news?

From the New York Times:
Lou Dobbs, the longtime CNN anchor whose anti-immigration views have made him a TV lightning rod, said Wednesday that he is leaving the cable news channel effective immediately.
Yesterday's show was his last.  Anyone else want to bet he's on Fox by Monday?

Update: The Onion has the reason why Dobbs departed so abruptly.

  1. That was the best news I've heard in a very long time!

  2. I won't take that bet. But who is he going to shove to the side to make room for him?

  3. I don't know much about Dobbs but must admit that I'm somewhat anti- immigration myself.

It's just not smart to allow others to keep coming here, this country has more monkeys in it now than can find work these days.

It's complex, in a way I have no problem with others coming here being as I don't believe in borders as such, other than to define where you are on this rock.

But countries have all these restrictions, many Americans would like to leave here and move somewhere else but the laws in those countries make that difficult to do.

For example, many in Africa may want to move here, but many Americans would like to move to Africa, interesting.

I guess I don't have a good solution (that anyone is going to agree to) but I admire the problem.

  4. It always seemed to me that if we increased the number of legal immigrants, but required them to pay an increased amount income tax, that more people would be happy with the system.
