Why bother redux

Okay. So I've said I'm ignoring politics. This morning, however, the news is so delicious that I cannot resist typing a few sentences.

Michelle Bachmann, Minnesota's gift to stand-up comedians and political junkies everywhere, is hanging it up. She's decided not to run again in 2014. She even managed to say with a straight face that it's not because:
(a) she came really, really close to losing in 2012 and she doesn't want to deal with the possibility of losing for real in the next election; or
(b) she's under investigation for misuse of campaign funds.
Nope, her decision to step down is strictly for personal reasons.

And pigs can fly.

  1. This is great, in fact this is pretty hard to beat. The GOP has had a surplus of buffoons the last few years, it's good to see one leave the clown car.
