  2. OK, let's go with that. Corporations, much like American foreign policy and the previous policies of the USSR have world domination in mind ... so where can we go to be free of Big Brotherism and Big Box uniformity? Canada? France? Borneo?

Perhaps we who are not thrilled with corporations can find a small fort somewhere and re-create The Alamo or Little Big Horn.

I guess there's always drugs, TV and sports. Go Team Go and pass the LSD!

  6. My favorite are the "anti-entitlements" ranters who feel they are "entitled" to collect social security income because they "paid for it." As if the amount they paid in even *begins* to approach the amount they will collect....

Frankly, I don't mind if some of my tax dollars go to help those who need it more than me -- folks on welfare, or food stamps, for example. But I do get irked at paying high SSI taxes so folks who are wealthier than me can continue to collect their social security checks every month.

Not sure what I paid into SS over the years but I never did get rich and it's my only retirement income so I think I deserve it. I get by just fine on that 938 bucks a month.
