Okay, when I read this title, for some reason I was thinking of Mitt Romney and his famous photo at the fudge shop with the blue gloves and goofy grin on his face. "Unpack the mittens" has an entirely different -- and very EWWWwwww! -- meaning in that context ;).
Spent almost two years at KI Sawyer AFB just south of Marquette in Michigan's Upper Peninsula - Brrrr. Volunteered for remote Alaska - got King Salmon out at the top of the Aleutian Peninsula - better weather - maybe 20 inches of snow all winter. Trust Sarge on this - Winter 2011 is going to be cold and very wet.
