Time to unpack the mittens

The weather forecast was for 1 to 3 inches. We're up to at least 6, and it's still coming down.

Update: Grand total appears to be a little over a foot of the type of snow kids love -- wet and sticky, perfect for building snowmen.

  1. Okay, when I read this title, for some reason I was thinking of Mitt Romney and his famous photo at the fudge shop with the blue gloves and goofy grin on his face. "Unpack the mittens" has an entirely different -- and very EWWWwwww! -- meaning in that context ;).

  2. Spent almost two years at KI Sawyer AFB just south of Marquette in Michigan's Upper Peninsula - Brrrr.
    Volunteered for remote Alaska -
got King Salmon out at the top of the Aleutian Peninsula - better weather - maybe 20 inches of snow all winter.
Trust Sarge on this - Winter 2011 is going to be cold and very wet.
