How's your week going?
DeKalb County Courthouse. 8:15 a.m. tomorrow. Jury duty. I thought my number might be high enough that this time I'd weasel out of it, but when I called to find out if I actually had to report, my number wasn't quite high enough.
It's a LOOOOOOONG story (five parts, as I recall) concerning my jury duty on one of the most bizarre and convoluted personal lawsuits ever. If you read it, whatever you encounter will seem a blessing by comparison (I hope.)
By the way, came here from Lisa's blog. What got me here was your blog title. Very funny!
I got lucky. I was sent home without being seated. My previous jury experience was a double homicide, so I was more than a little apprehensive when I got the summons this time.

ReplyDeleteAh shucks, you just say something like, "If they get to court I assume they are guilty."
ReplyDeleteI've never had to do jury duty.
Walk in carrying a large-print version of _Twelve Angry Men_.
ReplyDeleteThat should do it.

I don't usually pimp myself out during the first comment I ever leave at somebody's blog, but it seems appropriate here.
