When you think that over 100 years ago, people realized burning coal and pumping CO2 into the air was not going to do the earth any good, it took us a long time to believe it and too many still don't. Reminds me of the story of the lake that villagers drew their water from. A small plant appeared on the lake that doubled in size every day, covering more of the water. When did the villagers decide it was a problem? When the lake was 1/4 covered and they had two days to fix the problem.
