Teasing us?

The New York Times has an interesting little sentence tacked on to the end of Bill Kristol's column today. Six little words that hold so much promise:
This is William Kristol’s last column.

Dare we hope that this means he's hanging up his pen for good, not just from the Times but from punditry in general? That we'll never again be subjected to his bloviating in print anywhere, any time?

One can dream . . .
