Starting the morning with a laugh

Feeding the C-SPAN addiction, and they've started off with some howlers. A right wing wackaloon just called in to warn us all of the dangers posed by "hummus" (that's how she pronounced it) in Lebanon if Obama is elected. Hey, just give the Israelis some pita bread and that'll take care of that.

Rhetorical question: just how ignorant does someone have to be to be afraid of something she can't even pronounce correctly?

  1. Good one! I'm sure she's mispronouncing it, not out of ignorance, but out of disrespect. Kind of like Republicans who always say Democrat when they should use the proper term Democratic.

  2. what do you expect from voters who elected a president that can't pronounce terrorist and nuclear.??

  3. This reminds me of when Bill O'Really sexually harassed an employee by saying he wanted to caress her with a falafel. (No, I'm not make this up.)

  4. Pita bread for all ignorant bigots to go with their terrorist hummus.

comie is my word verification word. Did someone tell them?

  5. Well, if you are allergic to Chick Peas, then hummus really is pretty dangerous, right?

  6. I'm working on moving past caring who is up at the top or what they do.

I've gotten along just fine for 65 years and a number of preznuts and ups and downs in the economy.

And I'm sure I'll keep getting along okay, that's what I do, keep on keeping on. But I'm not sure about a lot of these idiots around me.

I like Obama, but I don't think that he is going to be able to fix much. And the only thing I can fix and make sure is secure is my own space.

Had a beautiful weekend here for working outside also, and going to the hot springs.

Evening will be here soon so I guess I'll have a little fire outside for a while.

  7. I'm blessed in that I'm not hooked on C-SPAN, and a lot of other crap. I read the news online in the morning and that's about it.

None of you have any power to fix this mess anyway. And many wouldn't know how if they did have that power.

My space, my rules: play nice and keep it on topic.
